Karma To Burn - Live 2009 Reunion Tour DVD

What we have here is 3 hours and 2 minutes of pure non-stop rifferama from the current kings of stoner groove-laden rock. Karma To Burn were previously active from 1996-2002, releasing 3 albums proper, before each member went on to other musical projects (most notably drummer Rob Oswald who played with both Mondo Generator and Nebula).    

Speak to any surf photographer or surf videographer and chances are you'll get about 30 seconds of conversation before they steer the subject onto how broke they are. 

It's Friday and to celebrate here are three lovely let downs' from Welshamn Rob Blythe. All were taken in the same session and I received no apologies for ruining what would've been three nice sequences.

Simply the funniest advert ever made. Selway wears Old Spice, he never gets tickets for that thing you love though.

Unless you have been living in a lead lined box, then you will know that the south coasts of England and Wales have been off the scale. Streams of swell, some sneaky, some obvious, have been groomed by chilly northerly winds into ruler edged lines of perfection at spots we all thought were long dead. Surfers have been gorging on these since Christmas, but you know what? Secretly, the north facing coasts have been going off too, and what's more everyone has been on the south coasts so they have been empty. Check this little lefthander at my local beach, yeah sure it aint heaving 'Leven, but when you're a fat, desk bound lizard like me, it's about all I can handle anyway. It's been pumping of late, and no one's been on it. So a word, don't forget the north coast, it's lonely and still needs your company now and again, remember it will be the only place to go soon.

In terms of slickness, Jules' Scaratching the Surface is Usher dressed head to toe in Yves St Laurent, sipping a 'Methuselah' 1990 Cristal Brut in the penthouse suite at Hugh Hefners' Sky Villa at Palm Casino Resort in Las Vegas. 
Doubly so, when viewed in glorious HD.

Today, 1st March, is St David's Day... the patron saint of Wales. Born of a cliff edge during a violent storm, David is probably best known for his monastic rule and his preaching of abstinence, rather than his surfing, which he kept on the down low.
